Thiruvananthapuram, April 10 -- Opposition Leader in the Kerala Assembly, V. D. Satheesan, has written to the Chief Electoral Officer of the Election Commission of India expressing concern over the State IT Department's decision to suspend the e-Office system at the Secretariat during the enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC).
In his letter, Satheesan termed the move "suspicious," pointing out that the Secretariat serves as the administrative nerve centre of the state.
He questioned the timing of the shutdown, which coincides with the election period when strict guidelines are in place to ensure transparency and accountability in governance.
