Srinagar, Aug. 8 -- J&K Police's Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) on Saturday detained a suspect in Budgam district of central Kashmir in connection with alleged radical social media activity.

Police said the suspect identified as Siraj Nabi Parray, resident of Archanderhama, Magam Budgam, was found to be operating a social media account through which radical content of a potentially extremist nature was being disseminated.

They said during scrutiny of the account, various posts, images and other digital material having radical and anti-national overtones were noticed.

"The material included content relating to radical narratives, glorification and projection of individuals associated with terrorism, propagation of extremist viewpoints...
