Cannes, May 26 -- Sushmiita Siingh has been cast in an upcoming international feature produced by French filmmaker Eric Atlan, marking her next major screen appearance following "Bombay Stories".
The film is structured as a multilingual romantic drama spanning India, France and the United States. The script revolves around an Indian girl who falls in love with an American guy, with a French actor playing the main antagonist, according to Variety India.
Siingh is said to have secured the role after an audition conducted on the sidelines of the Cannes Film Festival, where she attended for "Bombay Stories" alongside co-stars Mouni Roy and Anupria Goenka.
