Sushila Karki likely to head the Interim Administration in Nepal

Kathmandu/New Delhi, Sept. 12 -- Former Nepal Chief Justice Sushila Karki is likely to be appointed head of the interim government and the Parliament has been dissolved.

The development follows day-long consultations between President Ram Chandra Paudel, the leaders of Gen Z protestors and the Army at the President's office.

''President Ram Chandra Paudel agreed to dissolve the House of Representatives and declare a state of emergency under Article 273(1) of the Constitution.Following intensive discussions at the President's Office an understanding was reached to appoint former Chief Justice Sushila Karki as the head of an interim government,'' the President's Press Advisor was quoted as saying.
