Bengaluru, July 21 -- BJP MP Tejasvi Surya on Tuesday alleged that more than 13,000 eligible voters in Bengaluru had been wrongly marked as "shifted" during the electoral roll revision exercise without mandatory physical verification, and sought a high-level probe, warning that the alleged lapses could disenfranchise thousands of genuine electors.

In a representation to Karnataka Chief Electoral Officer V Anoop Kumar, Surya claimed that serious irregularities had surfaced in the house-to-house voter verification carried out across five polling booths in HSR Layout Ward-174 under Bommanahalli Assembly constituency, part of the Bengaluru South Lok Sabha seat.
