Aichi-Nagoya, Sept. 25 -- - Suruchi Singh and Kamaljeet delivered India's second gold medal at the Asian Games here on Friday, combining precision and composure to win the mixed team 10m air pistol title with a new Asian record of 484.6 points.
The Indian pair, who had topped qualification with 587-29x, carried their form into the final and led for most of the contest before holding off a late challenge from the Republic of Korea to win by 6.6 points.
The Korean pair settled for silver with 478.0 points, while Iran claimed bronze with 415.8 points.
The triumph ended India's wait for a shooting gold at the Aichi-Nagoya Games and added another highlight to a campaign in which the shooters had already collected several medals.
