Mathura, Feb. 27 -- The excitement of Holi has reached its peak in Braj. On Friday -- the auspicious occasion of Rangbhari Ekadashi -- Vrindavan witnessed a surge of faith as the streets appeared only too small.
A huge crowd of millions of devotees had gathered at the world-famous Thakur Banke Bihari temple since morning. It is believed that Thakurji begins to play Holi with his devotees on this day.
As soon as the temple doors opened, the entire complex resounded with chants of "Banke Bihari Lal ki Jai." The Goswami community, the temple's 'sevayats', showered devotees with abir, gulal, and flowers on behalf of Thakurji.
