Mumbai, July 15 -- Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) Working President and Lok Sabha lawmaker Supriya Sule said on Wednesday that her party may support the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance's proposed 131st Constitution Amendment Bill, also known as the Delimitation Bill, if the government agrees to increase Lok Sabha and state assembly seats across all states by 50%.
Speaking at a press conference, Sule said that the Sharad Pawar-led NCP "may" support the bill "if" the government amends it to increase Lok Sabha and Assembly seats across all states by 50 per cent.
"Give the 50% condition on paper. Then we will discuss," Sule said, adding that the government had indicated such a proposal could be included.
