New Delhi, Oct. 14 -- Bharti Enterprises founder and chairman Sunil Bharti Mittal said Eutelsat OneWeb should receive regulatory approvals ahead of Elon Musk's Starlink, arguing that the satellite communications company applied for permission five years ago and has been waiting for clearances since then.
While speaking at a panel discussion at the Bloomberg New Economy Forum 2026, Mittal said OneWeb had completed preparations for its ground network several years ago and had satellites positioned to serve India. He added that the company would welcome receiving the necessary permissions even a few days before Starlink, which has also been seeking entry into the Indian market.
