Chennai, March 14 -- Leading satellite TV channel group Sun TV Network has drgged five time IPL champion Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by filing a copyright infringement plea for using Jiler, Jailer-2 and Coolie film songs for its jersey promotion.
Sun TV Network has moved the Madras High Court against CSK over the alleged use of music, background scores and dialogues from Superstar Rajnikanth film Jailer, Jailer-2 and Coolie in a promotional video for the IPL 2026 jersey launch.
When the plea came up for hearing before Justice Senthilkumar Ramamorrthy on Friday, the CSK submitted that it would not use the songs and background scores of Rajinikanth films henceforth and would desist from using it.
