Hyderabad, May 12 -- Summons have been issued to Telangana Rakshana Samiti (TRS) President Kalvakuntla Kavitha in connection with the 'Rail Roko' protest staged in Kamareddy district demanding 42 per cent reservation for Backward Classes (BCs).

The Court of the Second Judicial Magistrate of First Class (Railways), Secunderabad, directed Kavitha and 12 other TRS leaders to appear before the court at 1030 hours on Wednesday in connection with the case registered under the Railways Act.

The protest was held on November 28, 2025, under Kavitha's leadership, demanding immediate approval of the BC Bills passed by the Telangana Legislative Assembly and Council. During the agitation, railway traffic on the Hyderabad-Nizamabad route was disrupted,...
