Kolhapur, Sept. 1 -- Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghatana (SSS) leader Raju Shetty and farmer leader and former minister Mahadev Jankar have asserted that there is enough sugar stock in the country and alleged that a handful of big sugar factories and big traders have conspired to create an artificial shortage to push up prices.

"There is enough sugar stock left in the country to satisfy all the people till the start of the next new season. Despite this, only a handful of big sugar factories and big traders conspired to create an artificial shortage of sugar and made the prices skyrocket.
