Hyderabad, May 4 -- Secretary, union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Sudhansh Pant, on Monday held a comprehensive review meeting with Telangana government officials at the State Secretariat to assess the implementation of centrally sponsored welfare schemes.

The meeting, attended by Special Chief Secretary (Implementation of Welfare and Development Schemes) Sabyasachi Ghosh and other senior officials, focused on key initiatives aimed at the upliftment of marginalised communities.

These included pre- and post-matric scholarships, the Protection of Civil Rights framework, construction of SC/BC hostels, rehabilitation of transgender persons, and the National Action for Mechanised Sanitation Ecosystem (NAMASTE).
