New Delhi, Aug. 27 -- The stage is set for a high-profile Vice-Presidential election on September 9 with two candidates - Buchireddy Sudershan Reddy and CP Radhakrishnan - in the fray.
Reddy, the INDIA bloc candidate, and Radhakrishnan, the nominee of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), will be contesting for the prestigious constitutional post.
In a statement here today, the Rajya Sabha Secretariat informed that with the deadline for withdrawal of candidature ending on August 25, the Election Commission released the final list of contesting candidates.
