Hamirpur, Nov. 16 -- A disturbing incident from Hamirpur, has led to the arrest of a serving Sub-inspector (SI) after a woman was found murdered under mysterious circumstances, police said on Sunday.
The nude body of the deceased, Kiran Singh, originally from Mahoba district and residing in Kabrai, was discovered on November 13 along the Maudaha-Rath road near Rama village.
Police formed three teams to investigate the case. The woman's identity was confirmed through local inquiries and call detail records.
Kiran had filed a dowry harassment case against her husband Vinod, a CRPF jawan. Her family alleged that Vinod and his relatives demanded Rs 2 lakh and a car soon after the marriage.
