Bhubaneswar, Sept. 25 -- A sub-adult Royal Bengal Tiger was safely rescued from a locked house at Khaprakhai village under the Thakurmunda Forest Range in Keonjhar district of Odisha on Friday morning.
According to forest officials, the tiger entered the house, following which frightened villagers locked the premises and alerted the Forest Department.
A team of forest officials rushed to the village after receiving the information and safely rescued the tiger from the house.
The tiger had reportedly been creating panic among villagers in the area for the past few days.
The rescued animal was subsequently taken into the custody of the Forest Department for further necessary action.
