Hyderabad, July 22 -- A joint forum of student organisations, including AISF, SFI, NSUI, PDSU, AIFDS, AISB and AIPSU, on Wednesday called for a statewide shutdown of educational institutions on July 24, demanding the resignation of union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the alleged NEET examination irregularities.
Addressing a press conference in Hyderabad, representatives K Manikanta Reddy, Putta Lakshman (AISF), T Nagaraju (SFI), Venkat Swamy (NSUI) and Palle Murali (AIFDS) alleged that repeated examination failures and paper leaks had pushed the country's education system into crisis.
