Wardha, April 16 -- President Droupadi Murmu on Thursday emphasised that the vision of a strong and developed India rests firmly on the foundation of its native languages.

She noted that Indian languages go beyond communication, serving as carriers of the nation's cultural heritage, traditional knowledge, and civilisational values.

Speaking at an event here, the President underlined the need to preserve and promote indigenous languages, stating that they are vital for inclusive growth and for reinforcing the country's identity.
