New Delhi, March 10 -- Jayashree Vijay Mohan, a mountaineer and Guinness World Record holder, has emerged as a beacon of resilience and determination. A stroke survivor, Jayashree returned to the mountains guided by her personal mantra, 'Avolo Daan' (accept and keep moving forward, in Tamil).

Her determination culminated in two Guinness World Records on Mount Kilimanjaro (5,895 metres) in the Combined Intensity Hike (CIH) Female category: the fastest ascent in 5 days and 6.5 hours, and the fastest descent in 10.26 hours.

Jayashree's achievement is registered as a Guinness World Record created on September 29, 2025. This feat followed her recovery from a 2021 stroke that impaired her motor (nervous system recovery).
