Bhubaneswar, Sept. 7 -- Calling for a stronger juvenile justice system to address growing vulnerabilities among children, Orissa High Court Chief Justice Harish Tandon on Sundaystressed the need to put prevention at the centre of child protection and tackle risks at the grassroots.
"Prevention must be at the heart of juvenile justice. We must address vulnerabilities at the grassroots so that children do not come into conflict with law or enter institutional care," Justice Tandon said while addressing a State-Level Stakeholders' Consultation on "Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015: A Decade of Implementation and the Way Forward" here.
