New Delhi, Sept. 16 -- A man was arrested for allegedly strangling his wife to death following a dispute in Central Delhi's Anand Parbat, police said on Wednesday.
The accused, identified as Chandrapal Bhati, aged 24, lived with his wife in a rented room in Baljit Nagar locality. Police said they had a strained marriage that led to Tuesday's quarrel, following which Bhati allegedly killed his 32-year-old wife at their residence.
"Information about the murder was received at Anand Parbat on September 14, following which a team reached the spot and found the woman lying dead inside a room. The deceased was living there with her husband, their two minor daughters and her mother," a senior police officer said.
