Amroha, Feb. 15 -- Tension flared in Amroha after a clash between two groups near a Shiva temple in the Kotwali area left five people injured, including a police constable, officials said on Sunday.
The incident occurred near the Chhebra Bypass locality, around 2 kilometers from the district headquarters.
According to police, a group of Kanwariyas had returned from Haridwar with Ganga water and organized a community feast (bhandara) near a Shiva temple on Saturday evening. Devotional songs dedicated to Lord Shiva were being played on a DJ system, and participants were dancing after dinner.
