New Delhi, June 9 -- Indian stock markets snapped a two-day losing streak and ended higher amid easing geopolitical tensions and moderation in crude oil prices.
At close, the Sensex was up 394.50 points or 0.54 percent at 73,918.76, and the Nifty was up 119.10 points or 0.52 percent at 23,242.10. Nifty midcap index rising 1.3 percent and smallcap index advancing 1.7 percent.
Among the sectors, all other sectoral indices ended in the green, except IT and media. PSU Bank was up 3.6 per cent, Nifty Bank up 2 per cent, Private Bank index up 1.6 per cent and Realty index up 1.6 per cent.
On Nifty, the biggest gainers were Interglobe Aviation, Jio Financial, Eicher Motors, SBI, and Apollo Hospitals. On the losing end were ONGC, Titan Company, ...
