New Delhi, June 17 -- Indian stock markets on Wednesday extended their winning streak for a fourth consecutive session with Nifty nears 24,100.
At close, the Sensex was up 347.14 points or 0.45 per cent at 77,155.62, and the Nifty was up 96.55 points or 0.40 per cent at 24,085.70.
The market capitalisation spiked by Rs 2.92 lakh crore to Rs 475.17 lakh crore from earlier Rs 472.24 lakh crore.
Among the sectoral performance, Consumer Durables was top gainer with 2.11% while Metals and PSU Bank added 1.01% and 1.75%.
Further, IT and banks also gains. On the other hand, Realty and Auto were the top laggards.
