New Delhi, June 6 -- The Indian stock market on Friday ended in the red, in a volatile trading session, as investors weighed the Reserve Bank of India's latest inflation and growth projections.

At close, Sensex was at 74,243, lower by 117 points or 0.16% while, NSE Nifty ended at 23,366.70, down 49.85 or 0.21%.

Among the sectors, IT and metals were the major losers sheding 0.99% and 1.60%, respectively. Nifty Media emerged as the top gainer while sectors like auto, banks and realty gained 0.08% to 0.56%.

On Nifty, those stocks ending in the green were Adani Enterprises up 2.36%, HUL with a 2% rise along with Adani Ports, Bajaj Finance, Axis Bank and Dr Reddy's Labs. On the losing end were Wipro as top loser while Hindalco, Trent, TCS, Co...
