New Delhi, May 15 -- The Indian Stock Markets ended lower today after weakness in select sectors and of the Indian rupee as well as negative cues from global peers weighed on market sentiment, with the BSE Sensex falling by 160.73 points, or 0.21 per cent, to close at 75,237.99 and the NSE Nifty declined 46.10 points, or 0.19 pc, to 23,643.50.
BSE 150 Midcap index fell 0.48 pc, while the BSE 250 Smallcap index declined 0.37 pc.
On Nifty, the top gainers were Infosys, Tech Mahindra and Power Grid, while Tata Steel, Eternal and Reliance Industries ended as the top losers.
Among sectoral indices, 13 of the 16 major sectors logged weekly losses. Metal, Oil & Gas, PSU Bank, Realty, Energy and Commodities fell more than 1 pc each, while the IT...
