New Delhi, Feb. 12 -- Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science & Technology Dr Jitendra Singh informed Parliament that Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) hubs are exclusively dedicated to the empowerment and socio-economic advancement of Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST), particularly in regions with high concentrations of these communities.
The Minister said the initiative operates in mission mode and the Government remains committed to expanding the network of hubs wherever prescribed criteria are met.
