Shimla, March 10 -- Under the Anti-Chitta campaign launched by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, the Himachal Pradesh Police conducted a statewide 24-hour Inter-State and Inter-District special naka (checking) drive on March 9 to intensify action against drug trafficking.
Spokesperson of State Police said on Tuesday that as part of the second phase of the campaign, police teams established nakas at 176 identified locations across the state based on intelligence inputs and inter-district coordination. During the drive, a total of 20,230 vehicles were thoroughly checked to maintain strict vigilance and prevent the movement of narcotics.
