Shillong, June 21 -- The Statehood Day of West Bengal was celebrated with great enthusiasm and cultural fervour at Durbar Hall, Lok Bhavan, Shillong in Meghalaya today.
The programme was graced by H.C.Chaudhary, the Additional Chief Secretary to Governor C. H. Vijayashankar, dignitaries, members of the Bengali community, artists and invitees to honour the rich cultural heritage and enduring legacy of West Bengal.
A special video message from Governor of West Bengal R.N. Ravi was screened on the occasion, followed by an audio-visual presentation showcasing the rich culture, history and heritage of West Bengal.
