Beed, March 17 -- The Maharashtra Labour Department has registered offences at 46 locations across the state through vigilance squads, pertaining to embezzlement of welfare funds through bogus claims under government schemes, the Labour Minister Adv. Akash Fundkar has informed the Assembly.

He said a detailed inquiry into the Beed case will be carried out by an independent officer and assured that all available evidence would be submitted and strict action taken against those found guilty.
