New Delhi, March 30 -- The Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), Satya Sharma, on Monday strongly condemned the disruption caused by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) councillors during the committee meeting held on Monday.
She described the interruptions as unfortunate and a reflection of disregard for democratic processes and institutional functioning.
Sharma alleged that such behaviour is consistent with AAP councillors' past conduct, noting that even when in power, they failed to ensure smooth functioning of the MCD.
"This approach continues even while in opposition, hampering public interest work and affecting civic service delivery," she said.
