Chennai, Sept. 6 -- After paying tribute to social reformer Periyar, it was the turn towards Ambedkar and Marx for Tamil Nadu Chief Minister. He visited Ambedkar House and also walked the extra mile to pay homage to Karl Marx at Highgate cemetery in London, on Saturday.
A day after unveiling the portrait of Dravidian icon and leader of the non-Brahmin movement 'Periyar' EV Ramasamy at Oxford University, he took time during his investment scouting mission in Europe to visit these two landmarks. Periyar, considered a father figure to Dravidian assertion, who had a close rapport with Ambedkar, was also the one who first published the Tamil translation of the 'Manifesto of the Communist Party'.
