Chennai, Feb. 9 -- In a significant step towards promoting indigenous "Make in India, For the World" manufacturing, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin launched Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles and Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) car manufacturing facility at the SIPCOT complex at Panapakkam village in Ranipet district on Monday.

This advanced, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility is expected to create over 5,000 jobs directly and indirectly and contribute to building future-ready skills amongst the local communities in and around the plant.

Tata Motors has invested Rs 9.000 crore in this state-of-the-art facility for which Stalin had laid the foundation stone on September 28, 2024.
