Chennai, May 4 -- Accepting the people's mandate that gave victory for the nascent Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) of actor-politician Vijay, which has emerged as the single largest party and all set to form the next government in Tamil Nadu, Chief Minister and DMK President M K Stalin said he accepted the people's verdict by bowing his head and vowed vowed to continue serving the people as an effective Opposition.

Proving all the post poll predictions wrong, TVK stormed the the state's poltical citadel winning in 107 of the total 234 seats, while the DMK ended up as the second alrgest party with 74 seatS, pushing the main Opposition AIADMK-led NDA to a distant third with just53 seats.
