Chennai, May 14 -- Mr S.N. Narain has assumed charge as the new Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of Southern Railway.
He assumed charge on Wednesday from M.Senthamil Selvan, who has now been posted as Senior Divisional Electrical Engineer, Royapuram Loco Shed.
Prior to this assignment, Narain was serving as Private Secretary to the union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas and Tourism, on deputation.
An officer of the Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) from the 2010 batch, Narain has held several important assignments in Indian Railways relating to passenger amenities, operational efficiency, digital communication and public interface.
