Chennai, June 1 -- Southern Railway has been awarded national-level recognition, securing third position among all Zonal Railways for implementation of Swachhata Cleanliness Drive - 2025.
The fortnight long sanitation and environmental campaign was observed from 1st to 15th October, 2025 encompassing 439 railway stations, as well as numerous other railway establishments and offices across all six divisions and three workshops.
The campaign was characterized by meticulously organized daily events centered around various themes of cleanliness, commencing with approximately 35,000 individuals administering the official Swachhata Pledge to formalize their institutional commitment to the initiative.
