Srinagar, Oct. 13 -- Srinagar's Lal Chowk Post Office, located in the city's bustling commercial hub, will now remain open for 12 hours daily, from 9 am to 9 pm, against the existing 9 am to 5 pm schedule, in a move aimed at making postal services more accessible and convenient for the public.
Officials said the extended working hours will enable customers to avail themselves of mail and parcel booking services beyond 5 pm. The initiative is aimed at providing better postal services to shopkeepers, business establishments and tourists visiting Lal Chowk, one of Srinagar's busiest commercial hubs.
