Chennai, Jan. 20 -- The Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (SRIHER) celebrated the 20th anniversary of Cochlear Implant Programme (CLIPS) marking two decades of transforming the lives of children with significant hearing loss at its campus in Porur today.
Cochlear implants are advanced medical devices that directly stimulate the auditory nerve, enabling children with profound hearing impairment to perceive sound and develop speech and language skills.
Around 180 cochlear implant recipients, along with their parents, participated in the celebrations.
The children presented various cultural performances and shared inspiring testimonials reflecting their journey from silence to sound.
