Chennai, July 11 -- The Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (SRIHER) today signed a MoU with Center for Radiological Research (CRR) at Columbia University, New York to foster international collaboration in the field of radiation sciences.
The main aim of this collaboration is to understand the effects of ionizing radiation in general and neutron in specific for biodosimetry, and medical radiation risk assessment, in particular in the
context of emergency response following a large radiological event as Columbia University is one
of few centres in the world which has neutron irradiator facility.
