Chennai, July 19 -- The grand Sri Jagannath Rath Yatra was celebrated at ISKCON Temple ECR on Sunday with enthusiastic participation from devotees, families, youth, residents and members of the public.
The programme began with the inauguration of the Rath at 2:30 PM. At 3:00 PM, the beautifully decorated chariot carrying Sri Jagannath, Lord Baladeva and Subhadra Devi proceeded from near Thangamayil Jewellery, Chinna Neelankarai, to ISKCON Temple ECR, Injambakkam.
The procession was accompanied by Harinam Sankirtan, kirtan and dancing. A large gathering joined the procession, chanted the holy names and personally participated in pulling the sacred Rath.
