Bengaluru, May 4 -- Senior BJP leader B Sreeramulu on Monday triggered fresh political speculation in Karnataka, claiming that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah could soon come under pressure to step down amid renewed buzz over Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar taking over the top post.
Addressing reporters, Sreeramulu said there was a "major political churn" underway in the state and hinted that Shivakumar could become Chief Minister if he "crosses a certain line", though he did not elaborate further.
