Raebareli, April 23 -- A tragic road accident in the Unchahar Kotwali area on the Lucknow-Prayagraj highway claimed the lives of a husband and wife, while their young son sustained critical injuries late Wednesday night.
The bus driver fled the scene after the collision, police said on Thursday.
According to police, Dashrath (36), a resident of Sabispur, was returning from Kalyani village with his wife Madhuri and their 10-year-old son, Prince.
At around 10:30 PM, near a cold storage facility close to Arkha village, a speeding private bus rammed into their motorcycle.
Eyewitnesses reported that the impact was so severe that the bike got lodged in the front portion of the bus.
