Bengaluru, Jan. 9 -- A special investigation team has been constituted under the supervision of a Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) to probe the controversial Hubballi BJP woman worker stripping case, following widespread public outcry and political reactions.

The move comes after a viral video circulated on social media showing a woman BJP worker in compromised state inside a police vehicle during her arrest in connection with a dispute related to the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists at Keshwapur area earlier this week.

The BJP has alleged that the woman was assaulted and stripped by police personnel.
