Srinagar, July 16 -- A Special NIA Court has framed charges against 10 accused in the 2022 Pakistan-backed narco-terror case investigated by the State Investigation Agency (SIA), clearing the way for trial in an alleged Pakistan-backed conspiracy involving drug trafficking and terror financing in Jammu and Kashmir.
Police said, the case was registered in October 2022 following intelligence inputs about a cross-border network allegedly operated by Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoJK)-based handlers of the banned Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).
According to the SIA, the syndicate smuggled narcotics across the Line of Control and used the proceeds to fund terrorist activities, sustain terror infrastructure and strengthen the terror ecosystem...
