Shillong, May 14 -- The special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Meghalaya will begin from June 20, with more than 23,43,252 electors set to be covered, State Chief Electoral Officer Brahma Deo Ram Tiwari said on Thursday.

According to the schedule released by the Election Commission of India (ECI), the revision exercise in Meghalaya will begin with preparatory activities and training from June 20 to June 29, 2026, while booth level officers will conduct house-to-house verification from June 30 to July 29, 2026.

As on May 12, 2026, Tiwari said there are 3,551 booth level officers, no booth level agents and 23,43,252 electorates in Meghalaya.
