New Delhi, Feb. 22 -- The Delhi Police's Special Cell has dismantled a Bangladesh-based Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) module operating across India, arresting eight operatives in simultaneous raids in Kolkata and Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu, an official said today.
According to the police, seven arrestees are Bangladeshi natives who had procured Indian identities to conceal their illegal entry into the country.
"The module was allegedly orchestrated by Shabir Ahmad Lone, a trained Kashmiri LeT militant currently based in Bangladesh," said Pramod Singh Kushwah, Additional Commissioner of Police (Special Cell).
