Chennai, Aug. 24 -- The principal opposition DMK stages a walk out from the Tamil Nadu Assembly after Speaker J.C.D.Prabhakar refused permission to speak on Chief Minister Vijay's announcement to abandon the proposed Parandur Greenfield international airport.

Soon after the House assembled for the day after weekend holidays and after adopting a condolence resolution mourning the death of versatile actor Sowcar Janaki, the Speaker allowed the Chief Minister to make Statements Under Rule 110 in the Assembly.

Of the three announcements, one pertained to dropping the Parandur airport proposed during the previous DMK regime.
