Hyderabad, Aug. 5 -- The State Police Complaint Authority (SPCA) office was inaugurated on Tuesday at D Block, 8th floor of BRKR Bhavan, Hyderabad, marking a significant step towards ensuring transparency and accountability in policing.
The SPCA has been established in line with the Supreme Court's 2006 judgment on a PIL filed by former IPS officer Prakash Singh, aimed at providing citizens with a fair mechanism to lodge complaints against police officers of the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police and above.
