Lucknow, Aug. 26 -- Uttar Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State President Pankaj Chaudhary on Wednesday launched a scathing attack on Samajwadi Party (SP) National President Akhilesh Yadav over his recent announcements concerning women, alleging that they were an attempt to cover up the party's past failures.
Chaudhary said the SP was making a series of promises in the name of women, including free bus travel, housing, hospitals, colleges and financial assistance, but was trying to use these new announcements to divert attention from its record in government.
