Lucknow, Oct. 2 -- After the success of its new social coalition in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the Samajwadi Party's caste-based calculations will face a major test in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls early next year.
The SP is now looking to target Brahmins, non-Jatav Dalits and non-Yadav OBCs. The new strategy has raised concerns within the BJP and forced the ruling party to explore ways to counter the move.
Besides, the BJP will also have to protect its own vote bank in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.
